Job description
Our client is seeking an Embedded Software Test Engineer to join their Software Engineering team in Manhattan Beach, CA.
In this role, you will develop, test, and verify embedded software for flight, space, and ground systems operating in real-time, resource-constrained environments. You will work on software that supports data processing, data routing, and control system applications using C/C++.
Responsibilities
· Develop, test, debug, and document embedded software applications.
· Verify software functionality and performance for real-time systems.
· Work with C/C++, Linux, and/or VxWorks in embedded environments.
· Collaborate with software, systems, and hardware engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.
· Support software integration, automated test systems, and utility program development.
· Analyze system requirements and ensure software meets quality and performance standards.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
· 5+ years of software development experience.
· Strong experience with C/C++.
· Experience working with embedded or real-time systems using Linux and/or VxWorks.
· Knowledge of processor, memory, and I/O architectures.
· Experience with software verification and validation, including formal verification or Test Like You Fly (TLYF) methodologies.
· Experience with the full software development lifecycle using Waterfall, Spiral, or Agile methodologies.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (no active clearance required to start)., * Do you have 5+ years of software development experience with strong C/C++ programming skills in embedded or real-time systems?
- Do you have experience with software testing, verification, and validation of embedded systems using Linux/VxWorks or similar real-time operating systems?
- Are you a Citizen and able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (required for this role)?
