Job description

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused PC Support Specialist to join our IT team and provide hands-on technical support for all Greenville County government sites and employees. This role serves as the primary point of contact for end-user hardware, software, and connectivity issues, with a heavy emphasis on PC lifecycle management and rapid break/fix resolution in a fast-paced public-sector environment., · Provide desktop/laptop support for Windows-based systems to county employees across multiple locations in Greenville County

· Perform PC imaging processes for new equipment and refresh cycles

· Deploy new PCs, laptops, peripherals, and software to end users; including setup, data migration, and user orientation

· Troubleshoot Windows OS, Microsoft Office suite, common county line-of-business applications, network connectivity, VPN, and basic Active Directory tasks

· Respond to support tickets in a timely manner, documenting all actions in the county's ticketing system

· Assist with project related tasks as necessary to maintain project schedule integrity

· Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor while delivering excellent customer service to non-technical county staff

Requirements

· Strong experience with Windows 10/11 imaging, deployment, and troubleshooting

· Solid understanding of PC hardware (laptops, desktops, peripherals) and common break/fix procedures

· Ability to Install Software and Hardware

· Exceptional communication and reporting skills (listening, verbal, and written).

· Strong organizational and analytical problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to effectively diagnose and articulate client issues and solutions

· Team player with a passion for collaboration and supporting others.

· Basic Active Directory user/group management

· Ability to lift and move computer equipment up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

· Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

· Minimum of 2 years of desktop/PC technician experience

· Must be able to pass a Background Check.

· Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation., * Associate (Preferred)
