Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, system administration or related field and 2+ years of prior relevant experience or a Master's degree with 0-2 years of experience in above mentioned technical fields. (An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree) \n
- Must be a US Citizen\n
- Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.\n
- Experience with scripting in bash and PowerShell\n
- Experience managing systems in both Linux and Windows environments\n
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally from informal one-on-one discussions or in a small group environment.\n
- Work well within a team and independently with minimal supervision.\n
- Ability to work within a dynamic work environment, ability to handle multiple tasks at once (multi-task).\n
- Strong desire to grow and learn new technologies.\n
- Must be a US Citizen.\n
- Must have an active DoD TS clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI\n
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills\n, * Relevant certificates to systems administration work (Ex: CompTIA Security+, Network+, Server+, CCNA, RHCSA)\n
- Familiar with Agile Methodologies, preferably SCRUM or Kanban\n
- Familiar with DHCP, DNS, Certificate Authority, PXE, Active Directory, Linux Identity Management (RHEL idm, FreeIPA), and other tools\n
- Experience working with virtualization technologies (Proxmox preferred)\n
- Experience with security scanning, monitoring, and patching in Windows and Linux environments\n
- Experience with live and virtual constructive environments to understand complex systems and troubleshooting\n
- Familiarity with DoD systems and environments (STIG, FIPS, CUI processing, etc)\n
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as docker or podman\n
- Experience with Kubernetes\n
- Experience standing up and maintaining environments in limited or offline environments\n
- Strong understanding of networking and how to build and configure a complex lab network\n
- Prior experience working with the DoD\n

The Non-Kinetic Effects Business Area, part of the Defense Sector at Leidos, currently has an opening for a cleared Systems Administrator to work in our Beavercreek, OH offices. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Air Force Research Lab, Air Force Lifecycle Management Center, and other DoD missions. Your role will be to support our diverse portfolio of programs through a combination of laboratory infrastructure design and buildout, maintaining systems, meeting and maintaining security guidelines, hardware interfacing and integration, and laboratory experimentation.\n \n \nPrimary Responsibilities:\n \n \n
- Implement and maintain SIL systems and infrastructure for complex network\n
- Document and communicate proposed solutions with integrated, cross-functional engineering teams in a fast paced highly technical environment\n
- Stay up to date on security, system, and management best practices and technologies\n
- Participate in network and infrastructure design and review to ensure delivery of quality products and enhance skillsets\n
- Maintain security patches, user management, etc. in accordance with Leidos, government, and contract requirements\n
