Job description

Are you passionate about combining technology, data, and banking operations to drive exceptional customer experiences? We are seeking a Technical Analyst I to support critical deposit applications that serve as the foundation of our consumer banking operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in Certificate of Deposit (CD), Individual Retirement Account (IRA), and Demand Deposit Account (DDA) systems while collaborating with business and technology partners to optimize processes, improve reporting, and support enterprise applications., The Technical Analyst I serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, supporting key banking applications with a specific focus on:

  • Systematics Savings Time applications supporting Certificates of Deposit (CDs) and Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)
  • IMPACS applications supporting Demand Deposit Accounts (DDAs), This role is responsible for analyzing business requirements, supporting application functionality, performing data analysis, troubleshooting production issues, developing SQL queries, and creating business reporting solutions using Power BI. The Technical Analyst I plays a critical role in ensuring the stability, accuracy, and continuous improvement of applications supporting core deposit products., * Serve as a primary support resource for Systematics Savings Time (CDs & IRAs) and IMPACS (DDAs) applications.
  • Partner with business users to understand operational processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and resolve application issues.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolutions with technology teams.
  • Support application releases, patches, upgrades, and production deployments.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts to research issues, validate data, and support business requests.
  • Create and maintain operational and management reporting solutions utilizing Power BI.
  • Analyze customer, account, and transactional data to identify trends, exceptions, and process improvements.
  • Support data validation, retention requirements, security standards, and reporting needs.

Business & Technical Analysis

  • Gather, document, and validate business requirements for system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Create process flows, functional specifications, and application documentation.
  • Assist in evaluating business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Participate in testing activities for enhancements, releases, and production support initiatives.

Operational Support

  • Provide day-to-day support for critical banking applications and interfaces.
  • Monitor system performance and data integrity across supported applications.
  • Assist with disaster recovery activities and support documentation maintenance.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to management and stakeholders.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of banking operations knowledge, analytical thinking, SQL scripting skills, and reporting experience to ensure our core deposit systems continue to operate effectively and efficiently., The position requires a strong understanding of banking operations and deposit products, along with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and actionable insights., This level of knowledge is typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Finance, Banking, or a related field and/or 1-3 years of related experience in Technical Analysis, Data Analytics, Banking Operations, or Application Support., * Experience supporting deposit banking products, including: o Certificates of Deposit (CDs) o Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) o Demand Deposit Accounts (DDAs)

  • Experience with Systematics Savings Time, IMPACS, or similar core banking/deposit systems.
  • Working knowledge of banking operations, deposit servicing, and account processing.
  • Proficiency writing and troubleshooting SQL queries and scripts.
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Understanding of relational database concepts and RDBMS tools.
  • Familiarity with application integrations, data flows, and system interfaces.
  • Experience working within development, testing, UAT, production, and disaster recovery environments.
  • Understanding of application lifecycle management, governance, and change management processes.
