As the Sales & Service Platform Owner, you will lead a team of three direct reports and contractors, and partner closely with cross-functional product, business, and technology teams to accelerate delivery, enable reusable capabilities, and maximize customer engagement outcomes. This role is responsible for balancing business velocity with strong strategies, road maps, governance, data security, and platform stability while ensuring the platform delivers measurable value across sales, service, and marketing capabilities.
This role leads platform governance, and enterprise enablement across all business units. In this role, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution of this enterprise platform ecosystem to ensure it remains scalable, secure, and aligned with evolving business needs.
This role is a part of the Customer Experience Capability Team within Digital Technology and will be located out of Arden Hills, MN.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of Salesforce platform leadership experience within a matrixed enterprise environment.
- Technical Breadth: Direct experience implementing, managing, and optimizing Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud solutions.
- Platform Expertise: Strong experience in Salesforce administration, architecture, and enterprise integration frameworks.
- People Leadership: Proven experience managing and developing teams, including performance management, coaching, and talent development (IDPs, Talent Talks).
- Compliance Knowledge: Foundational understanding of IT governance, data privacy, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Required Competencies & Other Skills
- Architecture & Governance: Advanced expertise in Salesforce platform architecture, administration, and governance in a complex enterprise environment; ability to define standards and ensure compliance with security and operational protocols.
- Strategic Roadmap Ownership: Leads development and execution of the platform roadmap, applying strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to prioritize high-value initiatives, manage stakeholder demand, and ensure a stable, scalable, and future-ready platform in partnership with product teams.
- Stakeholder & Intake Management: Effectively manages stakeholder intake, balancing competing priorities, filtering low-value requests, and aligning platform investments to business and product strategy.
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional alignment, present strategy and roadmap, and drive platform adoption across business and technology teams.
- Capability Enablement: Ability to define and deliver reusable platform capabilities, shared services, and scalable solutions that accelerate product team development and reduce duplication across business units.
- Operational & Incident Management: Demonstrated ability to lead P1/P2 incident response, manage platform stability, and oversee release cycles during high-demand and peak operational periods.
- Vendor & Ecosystem Management: Experience managing vendor relationships, licensing, and contracts while staying current with industry trends, data standards, and emerging CRM technologies.
Preferred Experience
- Platform Credentials: Active Salesforce certifications across Administration, Developer, or Architect tracks.
- Ecosystem Innovation: Experience evaluating, integrating, and optimizing external Martech tools within the CRM ecosystem, with awareness of evolving industry data standards and innovations.
- Enterprise Transformation Experience: Experience supporting enterprise digital transformation initiatives and driving adoption of scalable, reusable platform capabilities across multiple business units.
