Job description
You will be Verde Law's dedicated in-house IT Specialist, responsible for the day-to-day technology that keeps a busy law firm running. This is a Mac-first office: you'll set up and manage our fleet of Apple computers, lead our mobile device management (MDM) rollout with Microsoft Intune, administer Microsoft 365, and be the go-to person when anyone on the team needs tech help. You'll work directly with firm leadership on major infrastructure projects, so this is a great fit for someone who wants real ownership - not a ticket queue at a big company., * Set up, configure, and maintain our fleet of Mac computers (MacBooks, iMacs, Mac minis) for a team of ~30
- Lead our MDM deployment using Microsoft Intune for macOS - device enrollment, configuration profiles, app deployment, and security policies
- Administer Microsoft 365: user accounts, licenses, Exchange/Outlook, Teams, OneDrive/SharePoint, and Entra ID
- Own technology onboarding and offboarding for employees - accounts, devices, software access, and workstation setup
- Install, update, and support the firm's core software
- Implement and enforce security best practices - MFA, endpoint protection, password management, and safeguards appropriate for a law firm handling confidential client data
- Provide friendly, patient, in-person help desk support to attorneys and staff
- Manage hardware and software vendors, licenses, and inventory; document systems, configurations, and procedures
- Support technology needs for office growth and special projects
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration
- Strong macOS expertise - you're the person friends call about their Mac
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive)
- Experience with MDM platforms - Microsoft Intune strongly preferred (Jamf, Mosyle, or Kandji experience also valued)
- Solid networking fundamentals: Wi-Fi, routers, firewalls, DNS, VPN
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a customer-service mindset - you can explain technical issues clearly to non-technical colleagues
- Organized, self-directed, and comfortable being the primary IT resource for the office
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred (we are a bilingual firm)
- Able to work on-site full-time at our Miami office (33126)
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting a law firm or professional services company
- Familiarity with Clio, or similar legal/CRM platforms
- Relevant certifications: Apple (ACSP), CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, or Microsoft (MD-102, MS-102)
