Senior Python Developer

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Senior Python Developer on behalf of our client in Durham, NC. We are looking for an experienced developer with a strong background in Python, data integration, SQL, and enterprise application development. In this hybrid role, you will design, develop, and support scalable data solutions, modernize legacy systems, build integrations, and create business intelligence dashboards. • Design, develop, and maintain robust Python-based applications and data solutions.

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python development.
• Proficiency with Power BI, including dashboard and report development.
• Strong experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or Ingres.
• Expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Experience working with REST and SOAP APIs.
• Knowledge of backend architecture and microservices.
• Experience with data migration and data conversion projects.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance principles.
• Experience modernizing or migrating legacy applications.
• Java development experience.
