Job description
Under the direction of the Manager of Academic Computing Support, provides technical and operational support for students, faculty, and staff in assigned instructional computing areas (could include labs or other technical support areas)
Currently assigned to the Learning Emporium in the Library, University Partnerships, and West Valley City Campus.
Coordinates technical support for the Pharos print-metering (Uniprint) system.
Coordinates technical support for thin-clients and administers the HP Device Manager for thin clients.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
All employees are expected to maintain a permanent residence within the State of Utah as a condition of employment. New employees must provide a valid Utah residential address within 30 days of their start date., * Extremely customer service oriented.
- Ability to work closely with team members from multiple departments.
- Strong working knowledge of computer systems, including hardware setup / troubleshooting, software setup / installation, general maintenance.

- Ability to learn systems and procedures easily.

- Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities., * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or a discipline that uses computers extensively.
- Zero (0) to three (3) years of direct, paid, full-time work experience in the technology service industry.
Trade off 1:1 in experience/education requirement. Part-time experience may be substituted on a prorated basis., * Additional related work experience in the technology service industry.
- Supervisory experience.
- Excellent working knowledge of the most current Windows operating systems.
- Excellent working knowledge of the most current MS Office Suite application software.
- Good working knowledge of wireless technology.
- Good working knowledge of software imaging processes such as Microsoft Enterprise Configuration Manager (MECM) or similar systems.
- Good working knowledge of thin-clients and virtual desktops.
- Good working knowledge of print-metering software such as Pharos.
- Industry standard certifications (A+, etc.).
- Working knowledge of AutoCad and Solid Works or similar CAD software.
