Job description
We are looking for an experienced Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on IT support in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting end-user devices, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring reliable technology operations across manufacturing and office environments., * Onsite technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, RF guns, MLL PCs, and other end-user devices
- Incident management, troubleshooting, ticket resolution, and SLA-driven support
- Preventive maintenance, hardware lifecycle management, and equipment refresh
- IT equipment integration with Active Directory (AD), Network, and NAS, * Provide onsite technical support for manufacturing and office IT systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change), break/fix support, and hardware replacements.
- Support lifecycle management, preventive maintenance, and scheduled refresh activities.
- Configure and integrate IT equipment with Active Directory, network infrastructure, and NAS.
- Support applications and coordinate with engineering and infrastructure teams for issue resolution.
- Assist with incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective actions.
- Participate in installations, upgrades, migrations, testing, and post-implementation support.
- Maintain asset inventory, ticket documentation, and knowledge base updates.
- Ensure compliance with security, change management, and audit requirements.
Networking Experience
- Troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Ethernet, and wireless networking issues.
- Assist with switch port activation, cable tracing, and device connectivity.
- Coordinate with centralized network teams for escalations.
- Network+ certification or equivalent networking experience is a plus.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of onsite/field IT support experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on experience supporting Windows systems (basic Linux knowledge preferred).
- Experience working in a GxP regulated environment.
- Knowledge of NetBackup and Rubrik.
- Experience with ITSM tools and endpoint management.
- Hands-on experience supporting RF devices, barcode scanners, printers, and shop-floor PCs.
Preferred Skills
- Manufacturing, laboratory, or distribution center IT support experience.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
