Job description
- Oversee GIS technical operations, ensuring optimal data management and visualization practices.
- Lead complex GIS projects, from data management to visualization.
- Mentor junior GIS technicians.
- Ensure alignment of technical activities with GIS strategies.
- Engage with stakeholders on GIS technical requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in GIS technical operations.
- Proficiency with linear referencing techniques and concepts is highly recommended
- Knowledge of the Utility and Pipeline Data model (UPDM) is highly recommended.
- Provides specialized queries, maps and reports to meet customer requirements/specifications.
- Performs application testing and documentation of defects.
- Interfaces with users; documents requested/needed changes.
- Processes, prepares and converts data to enter into GIS from a variety of data formats.
- Perform QA/QC on version data that pushes to the production environment.
Requirements
- 5 + Years Experience in a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Geographical Information Systems or related curriculum., * 5 + Years of in-depth experience with GIS tools, databases, and methodologies.
- Esri ArcGIS Pro - advanced proficiency.
- Esri ArcGIS 10.2x - advanced proficiency.
- Linear referencing - advanced proficiency.
- MS Office suite (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) - advanced proficiency.
- Esri ArcGIS Enterprise - intermediate proficiency.
- Utility Network - intermediate proficiency.
- Model Builder - intermediate proficiency.
- Python - intermediate proficiency.
