As an Environmental Solutions Analyst at RES, you will play a key role in identifying and supporting the development of environmental markets across our mitigation, water quality, and endangered species solution lines. Working at the intersection of market research, data analytics, and environmental planning, your insights will help guide business development strategy and equip regional teams with actionable, data-driven intelligence., * You'll shape RES's future markets. Your research and insights will directly influence how RES pursues new commercial opportunities across the U.S.
- You'll work across disciplines. You'll collaborate with teams in sales, science, engineering, finance, and policy-gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of environmental project development.
- You'll grow your skills. This role will strengthen your abilities in data analysis, writing, GIS, stakeholder engagement, and strategic thinking.
What your day-to-day might look like:
You'll begin your day reviewing project opportunities, researching environmental regulations, or analyzing market activity. You may be conducting suitability assessments, mapping potential restoration opportunities, or evaluating competitor activity. Throughout the week, you'll support proposal preparation, build reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or GIS, and attend meetings with regulatory stakeholders or consultants.
You'll also translate your findings into white papers, market assessments, presentations, and internal deliverables that support regional sales and strategy teams in making informed decisions. This work is fast-paced, collaborative, and rooted in RES's mission to restore and protect natural resources.
Requirements
This role is ideal for someone early in their career who brings a strong analytical mindset, an interest in environmental solutions, and a desire to make an impact through research and strategy., * Bachelor's degree (any discipline)
- 1+ year of professional experience or academic focus in a related area (e.g., environment, business, planning, data analytics) (including internships, research projects, etc.)
- Demonstrated technical and creative writing ability
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Pro
- Ability to manipulate and summarize large datasets and identify trends
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or GIS tools (ArcGIS Online, Pro)
What will make you stand out?
- Experience in brownfield, reclamation and mining.
- Interest in or exposure to environmental permitting, planning, or policy (e.g., CWA 404/401, ESA, NPDES, local stormwater regulations)
- Comfortable translating business or technical content into digestible reports, visuals, and presentations
- Familiarity with public infrastructure funding, grant evaluation, or environmental regulatory processes
- Experience in a project-based environment (e.g., environmental consulting, planning, or permitting)
- Understanding of how to contextualize market opportunities in relation to strategic priorities
