We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Systems Administrator to oversee and optimize our organization's IT infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, securing, and enhancing our systems to ensure seamless operations across all departments. Your expertise will drive the implementation of innovative solutions, support system performance, and uphold high standards of information security. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional passionate about system engineering and infrastructure management to make a significant impact within a fast-paced environment., * Manage and support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage systems, and network infrastructure, including RAID controllers, VMware, AWS, Azure, and Linux/Windows environments.
- Perform system tuning and performance optimization to ensure high availability and reliability of IT services.
- Develop automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages to streamline routine tasks like system backups, recovery procedures, and configuration management.
- Oversee server backup and recovery processes to safeguard critical data across SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server) and NoSQL solutions.
- Support software implementation, troubleshooting, and administration for enterprise applications including Pegasystems and other business-critical systems.
- Manage Active Directory environments for user account provisioning, access control, and security policies; administer network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and information security protocols.
- Collaborate within Agile teams using DevOps practices to facilitate continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with tools like Jenkins and Git.
- Conduct system design reviews focusing on scalability, load balancing (including solutions like F5 or HAProxy), system architecture improvements, and overall IT infrastructure enhancements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in system administration with a strong background in operating systems including Windows Server (Active Directory management), Linux/Unix (Shell Scripting), and VMware ESXi or ESXi virtualization platforms.
- Extensive knowledge of server hardware components such as RAID controllers; experience with server backup/recovery strategies is essential.
- Skilled in scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Python or JavaScript to automate tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure along with virtualization technologies including VMware or Hyper-V.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), computer networking concepts (VPNs, DNS/DHCP), load balancing solutions, firewalls, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle PL/SQL or Microsoft SQL Server; knowledge of NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to system performance tuning or application support swiftly and efficiently.
- Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), microservices architecture, RESTful API development & integration skills are highly desirable.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA/CCNP or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect are advantageous but not mandatory.
