Job description

  • Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows laptops and desktop computers, Android smartphones, tablets, copiers, and printers.
  • Provide on-site technical support for staff at three main offices and program areas as well as 15 residential and mixed-use properties including managing user accounts, passwords, permissions, and workstation security.
  • Maintain office phone system, VoIP phones, Android cell phones, and tablets.
  • Install and support networking equipment including routers, switches, wireless access points, and internet connectivity.
  • Coordinate with internet service providers, telecommunications vendors, and managed service providers.
  • Maintain inventory of computers, mobile devices, software licenses, and IT equipment.
  • Assist with cybersecurity and AI best practices including, endpoint protection, software updates, and user awareness.
  • Document technical procedures and maintain accurate service records.
  • Participate in technology upgrades, office moves, equipment replacements, and special projects.
  • Provide occasional after-hours support for emergencies and scheduled maintenance.
  • Performs additional related tasks as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
    1. 3+ years of desktop support or IT technician experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of: Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID (preferred), PC hardware troubleshooting, Mobile device deployment, VoIP phone systems, Printers and multifunction copiers, Basic networking (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, switches, routers) and AV equipment
  1. A valid Texas driver's license, reliable transportation and ability to travel to off-site locations as needed.
  • A demonstration of professional objectivity and respect for confidential information is mandatory.
  • Experience developing standards and IT practices using best practices
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work with all levels from Board of Directors, leadership, staff, housing guests, and members.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written) are required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and stoop for (long) periods of time, indoors.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds when receiving or moving IT equipment on a regular basis.
