Job description
- The Data Modeler, Supply Chain Data, Innovation & Analytics is responsible for designing, developing, and operationalizing scalable Supply Chain data products that drive measurable business value. Leveraging deep expertise in Databricks, data modeling, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions, this role transforms complex Supply Chain data into trusted, governed, and actionable insights. The successful candidate will partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver robust data solutions that enhance decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic Supply Chain objectives., * Design and deliver data-driven solutions that address Supply Chain business challenges, leveraging knowledge of procurement, supplier performance, spend analytics, and key enterprise value drivers within the oil and gas industry.
- Develop, test, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks using Python, PySpark, SQL, notebooks, workflows, and orchestration frameworks to support reliable and high-quality data products.
- Build and maintain robust data models and transformation logic for curated Silver and Gold layer datasets that enable analytics, reporting, and advanced decision support.
- Integrate and transform data from enterprise platforms including Oracle Cloud, SAP, Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW), Microsoft Dataflow, Dataverse, and other approved business systems.
- Design, develop, and evaluate advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-enabled solutions, including forecasting, anomaly detection, classification, text analytics, sentiment analysis, and natural language processing applications.
- Leverage Databricks platform capabilities, including Unity Catalog, SQL Warehouses, Workflows, Genie, Lakeflow, and Lakeflow Designer, to accelerate solution delivery while maintaining governance, security, and enterprise architecture standards.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data products, analytical models, and actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and maintain technical and project documentation, including business requirements, solution designs, data models, development standards, assessments, and status reporting.
- Communicate complex technical concepts, data insights, and solution designs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance data quality, automation, analytics capabilities, and overall data product performance across Supply Chain functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain analytics, data engineering, data modeling, data science, or product development roles.
- Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale data and analytics solutions.
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes and business value drivers.
- Experience working within the oil and gas industry is preferred.
- Advanced expertise in Databricks, including notebooks, workflows, jobs, data pipelines, Unity Catalog, SQL Warehouses, and Lakehouse architecture.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL for large-scale data transformation and engineering.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, data integration, and data governance best practices.
- Experience developing predictive analytics, machine learning, statistical modeling, and AI-driven solutions.
- Expertise in analyzing structured and unstructured data to generate actionable business insights.
- Hands-on experience with prompt engineering and AI-assisted development techniques.
- Experience building solutions with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Dataverse, Dataflows, and Model-Driven Apps.
- Strong knowledge of SAP and Oracle Cloud applications, particularly within Supply Chain, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Finance, and Project Management domains.
- Experience with Alteryx for data preparation and workflow automation is considered an asset.
