Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Firmware Engineer to support the development of next-generation embedded systems and products. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with deep expertise in firmware development, RTOS environments, bare-metal microprocessor programming, and modern C++ development.

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining embedded software solutions for both existing and new product platforms. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge embedded technologies while influencing the architecture and direction of future products.

Engineers who actively pursue embedded systems, electronics, robotics, maker projects, or firmware development as a hobby are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware for microprocessor-based systems.

  • Develop software in C++ for new product development efforts.

  • Support and maintain existing firmware platforms written in C.

  • Create firmware solutions utilizing Zephyr OS, RTOS environments, and bare-metal architectures.

  • Develop low-level drivers, hardware interfaces, and board support packages.

  • Interface closely with hardware, electrical, systems, and test engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Experience with Linux-based embedded systems.

  • Experience developing firmware for connected devices, sensors, communications systems, or industrial products.

  • Familiarity with embedded networking protocols and communication interfaces.

  • Experience with ARM-based processors and microcontrollers.

  • Knowledge of hardware schematics and board-level troubleshooting.

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.

  • Demonstrated personal passion for embedded systems through hobby projects, home labs, robotics, maker activities, or open-source contributions.
