Job description

RGP is seeking a Solution Architect / Technical Lead to join our rapidly growing ServiceNow Practice. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor and technical leader, helping clients define platform strategy, architecture, and implementation approaches that maximize business value from their ServiceNow investment.

As a Solution Architect/ Technical Lead, you will lead solution design and technical governance across complex ServiceNow engagements while partnering with executive stakeholders, business leaders, and delivery teams to deliver scalable, sustainable, and outcome-driven solutions. You will also contribute to the growth of our ServiceNow Practice through thought

leadership, mentoring, solution innovation, and support of strategic client pursuits.

Client Advisory, Solution Architecture, Technical Lead

  • Serve as the lead Solution Architect / Technical Lead for ServiceNow transformation initiatives across multiple products and platform capabilities.
  • Advise clients on ServiceNow platform strategy, architecture, roadmap planning, governance, and adoption best practices.
  • Lead discovery sessions, architecture workshops, and solution design activities with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable solution architectures aligned to ServiceNow best practices and platform capabilities.
  • Develop architecture roadmaps that support both immediate project objectives and long-term platform maturity.
  • Provide guidance on platform governance, technical standards, integrations, security, and extensibility.

Delivery Leadership

  • Own the overall technical architecture and solution design for ServiceNow implementations.
  • Provide technical leadership to architects, developers, business process consultants, and project managers throughout project delivery.
  • Review and approve technical designs, integrations, data models, custom applications, and platform configurations.
  • Ensure technical deliverables are complete, consistent, high quality, and aligned with client business outcomes.
  • Identify technical risks and provide recommendations to mitigate delivery and operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with ServiceNow product teams and partners as needed to address complex solution requirements.

Innovation & Practice Development

  • Champion adoption of emerging ServiceNow capabilities, including AI-powered solutions, Now Assist, AI Search, Agentic AI, Workflow Automation, App Engine, UI Builder, and future platform innovations.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of architecture standards, implementation methodologies, accelerators, and reusable assets.
  • Mentor and coach architects, technical leads, and consultants to advance technical excellence across the practice.
  • Develop thought leadership content, best practices, and solution frameworks that strengthen RGP's ServiceNow capabilities.

Business Development Support

  • Partner with sales and practice leadership to support client pursuits, workshops, solutioning sessions, estimates, ROMs, proposals, and Statements of Work.
  • Present solution recommendations and architecture strategies to executive and technical audiences.
  • Articulate the business value of ServiceNow capabilities and platform investments to prospective and existing clients.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions in a client-facing consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or Technical Lead on enterprise ServiceNow implementations.
  • Deep understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, development practices, governance, and implementation methodologies.
  • Experience architecting solutions across four or more ServiceNow product areas, including:
  • IT Service Management (ITSM)
  • IT Operations Management (ITOM)
  • IT Asset Management (ITAM)
  • Customer Service Management (CSM)
  • HR Service Delivery (HRSD)
  • Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)
  • App Engine
  • Employee Center
  • AI and Automation capabilities (NowAssist, Moveworks, etc)

Technical Expertise

  • 6+ years of enterprise application consulting, architecture, or software engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Service-oriented architecture and integration patterns
  • REST and SOAP web services
  • APIs and data integrations
  • Relational databases and data modeling
  • Security and application architecture best practices
  • Cloud technologies and SaaS/PaaS platforms
  • Experience designing enterprise integrations with cloud and on-premise systems.
  • Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and modern software development practices.

Certifications

  • Current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification required.
  • Three or more ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications required.
  • Commitment to maintaining certifications and pursuing advanced architect learning paths.
  • Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification or active pursuit of CTA preferred.

  • Proven ability to lead architecture discussions with both executive and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to connect platform capabilities to measurable business outcomes and strategic objectives.
  • Strong consulting mindset with experience influencing technical decisions through options analysis, recommendations, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted client relationships and leadcross-functional teams.
  • Strong mentoring, coaching, and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ServiceNow App Engine and custom application development.
  • Experience with UI Builder, Workspace technologies, and Next Experience.
  • Experience with ServiceNow AI, Now Assist, AI Search, and automation capabilities.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and modern web technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience across multiple industries including Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Public Sector, or Technology.
