Job description
We are seeking a Senior Azure Platform & Resiliency Engineer to design, build, and operate our cloud foundation in Microsoft Azure. This role combines cloud architecture, infrastructure engineering, and site reliability principles to ensure our platform is secure, scalable, and resilient by design.
The Systems Azure Engineer is responsible for supporting technological infrastructure that enables the success of OPC, GTC, and GSOC. This includes designing, deploying, and managing Windows and Linux desktop and server environments as well as architecting and implementing cloud-based solutions through AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft 365. The role ensures system scalability, reliability, and security.
You will lead the development of Azure landing zones, infrastructure as code (IaC), and reliability patterns, enabling engineering teams to deploy and operate workloads consistently and safely.
This is a hands-on engineering role, not a pure operations or oversight position.
Key Responsibilities
Azure Platform Architecture

System Design and implement Azure Landing Zones aligned with Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)

Define and manage Security and Compliance:
-
Infrastructure Management group and subscription strategy
-
RBAC and identity models
-
Documenting Azure Policy and Reporting governance controls
-
Build and maintain shared services (networking, logging, identity)
-
Collaborations, Support, and engagne in continuous improvement
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform (preferred), Bicep, or ARM
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Will consider a combination of education and experience

6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure architecture and services

Proven experience designing and implementing Azure landing zones
-
Deep expertise in Terraform (or equivalent IaC tools)
-
Strong understanding of Azure networking (VNet, peering, DNS, private access)

Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)

Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Kubernetes / AKS
-
Familiarity with Azure Front Door, Traffic Manager, or global routing

Experience implementing Azure Policy at scale

Exposure to chaos engineering or resilience testing tools

Understanding of FinOps / cloud cost optimization, Experience: Minimum of 4 years in designing and managing technology infrastructure environments, cloud-based solutions, conducting system assessments, and troubleshooting.
Equivalent Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
Responsibility: Independently manages desktop and/or server environments, implements cloud-based solutions, and conducts system assessments and troubleshooting. Begins to lead small projects and works closely with other teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems.
Systems Engineer IV
Experience: Minimum of 6 years in designing and managing technology infrastructure environments, cloud-based solutions, conducting system assessments, and troubleshooting.
Equivalent Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
Responsibility: Leads projects for the design, deployment, and management of desktop and/or server environments and cloud-based solutions. Takes on a leadership role in system design and troubleshooting and provides technical support across the IT function.
Systems Engineer V
Experience: Minimum of 8 years in architecting and managing technology infrastructure environments, cloud-based solutions, conducting system assessments, and troubleshooting., + Designing an Azure landing zone for a multi-team organization
