Job description

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures leveraging Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and other public cloud services.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation to automate deployment processes across multiple environments.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure components such as Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Virtual Machines (VMs), containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless functions.
  • Integrate cloud services with on-premises systems using VPNs, hybrid cloud configurations, and virtualization technologies like VMware and OpenStack.
  • Implement security best practices including identity and access management (IAM), system hardening, network security groups, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with development teams to facilitate microservices architecture using RESTful APIs, web services, and container orchestration tools.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues proactively, and ensure scalability of distributed systems through automation and DevOps pipelines utilizing Jenkins, Git, PowerShell, Bash scripting, and CI/CD workflows.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cloud Engineer with expertise in both Azure and AWS cloud platforms to lead the design, deployment, and management of scalable cloud infrastructure solutions. In this dynamic role, you will drive cloud architecture initiatives, optimize cloud services, and implement automation strategies to ensure robust, secure, and efficient IT environments. Your passion for cloud computing, virtualization, and DevOps practices will empower our organization to innovate rapidly and maintain a competitive edge in digital transformation., * Proven experience designing and managing IT infrastructure in public cloud environments such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), Azure (Microsoft Cloud), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Rackspace.

  • Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices development, SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), and cloud architecture principles.
  • Extensive knowledge of virtualization technologies including VMware, OpenStack, Citrix XenServer; experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes is essential.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash; experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with managing IT infrastructure components like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle databases; NoSQL solutions; RESTful APIs; T-SQL; SQL databases.
  • Strong background in system hardening techniques for Linux/Unix/Windows operating systems to enhance security posture.
  • Experience managing distributed systems at scale with emphasis on scalability, resilience, monitoring tools like Jenkins or Meraki dashboards.
  • Knowledge of network security protocols including VPNs; experience implementing identity management solutions such as IAM solutions is preferred.
  • A background in computer science or related technical field with hands-on experience in software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile is advantageous.

$70 - $85 an hour - Contract
