Job description

The candidate will be responsible for administering, supporting, modernizing, and migrating enterprise SharePoint environments from SharePoint On-Premises to SharePoint Online. This role will support collaboration, content management, governance, and digital workplace transformation initiatives., Administer and support SharePoint On-Premises 2013/2016/2019 and SharePoint Online environments, including site collections, permissions, storage, and service configurations.

Design and execute SharePoint On-Prem to SharePoint Online migration strategies, including content assessment, remediation, migration execution, and cutover planning.

Perform migrations using tools such as SharePoint Migration Tool, ShareGate, or similar enterprise migration platforms.

Modernize legacy SharePoint sites, workflows, and customizations into modern SharePoint Online architecture.

Develop and enhance SharePoint solutions using SPFx, REST APIs, PowerShell, and Power Platform integrations.

Provide Level 3 support for SharePoint-related issues, incidents, performance concerns, and access/configuration problems.

Implement and support SharePoint governance, information architecture, lifecycle management, access control, and retention practices.

Work closely with infrastructure, security, application, and business teams to ensure a secure and scalable SharePoint Online platform.

Produce technical documentation including architecture documents, migration plans, operational runbooks, support procedures, and governance guidelines.

Support business users during adoption, migration, and post-migration activities.

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience administering and supporting SharePoint On-Premises and SharePoint Online environments.

Experience with SharePoint On-Prem to SharePoint Online migrations in enterprise environments.

Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, site collections, permissions, service applications, authentication models, and governance.

Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration, automation, and migration support.

Experience with modern SharePoint development using SPFx, REST APIs, and related Microsoft 365 development patterns.

Experience working with Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID / Azure AD, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online.

Ability to troubleshoot SharePoint-related incidents and provide L3 production support.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work with business users, security teams, infrastructure teams, and application teams.

Experience creating technical documentation, migration plans, and operational support guides.

Nice to Have

Experience with migration tools such as ShareGate, SharePoint Migration Tool, Metalogix, AvePoint, or similar.

Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate development.

Familiarity with records management, retention labels, Microsoft Purview, compliance, and access control policies.

Experience modernizing legacy SharePoint Designer workflows, InfoPath forms, or classic SharePoint sites.

Experience working in regulated or security-conscious enterprise environments, preferably banking or financial services.

Exposure to PnP PowerShell, Graph API, Teams/OneDrive migration, and Microsoft 365 governance.

Experience supporting SharePoint platform governance and operating models.

Travel

This is a remote role. Candidate should be able to support business hours aligned with the client location and participate in meetings with business, technical, and security teams as needed.

Degree

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
