Job description

We're hiring a Fleet Support Engineer to support the daily operations of an industry-leading autonomous vehicle company. In this role, you'll troubleshoot complex vehicle hardware and software issues, support field technicians, and work closely with engineering teams to maximize fleet uptime and reliability., * Diagnose and troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues

  • Support technicians by serving as the escalation point for technical issues
  • Analyze vehicle logs and perform root cause analysis
  • Develop and maintain troubleshooting documentation
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve vehicle performance and reliability
  • Validate repairs and implement long-term corrective actions
  • Support fleet diagnostics, sensor systems, and vehicle operations
  • Travel occasionally to support fleet operations at other locations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in transportation, aerospace, automotive, autonomous vehicles, or other complex technical systems
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, schematics, and diagnostics
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software systems
  • Knowledge of vehicle communication systems and diagnostics
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with electric vehicle technology
  • Experience supporting field technicians remotely
  • Linux and Python experience
  • Familiarity with networking, TCP/IP, and diagnostic communication protocols (UDS)
  • Experience working with LiDAR, radar, cameras, or other sensor technologies
  • Military, aerospace, aviation, helicopter maintenance, or other complex systems experience is highly preferred
