Job description
We're hiring a Fleet Support Engineer to support the daily operations of an industry-leading autonomous vehicle company. In this role, you'll troubleshoot complex vehicle hardware and software issues, support field technicians, and work closely with engineering teams to maximize fleet uptime and reliability., * Diagnose and troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues
- Support technicians by serving as the escalation point for technical issues
- Analyze vehicle logs and perform root cause analysis
- Develop and maintain troubleshooting documentation
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve vehicle performance and reliability
- Validate repairs and implement long-term corrective actions
- Support fleet diagnostics, sensor systems, and vehicle operations
- Travel occasionally to support fleet operations at other locations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in transportation, aerospace, automotive, autonomous vehicles, or other complex technical systems
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, schematics, and diagnostics
- Experience troubleshooting hardware and software systems
- Knowledge of vehicle communication systems and diagnostics
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electric vehicle technology
- Experience supporting field technicians remotely
- Linux and Python experience
- Familiarity with networking, TCP/IP, and diagnostic communication protocols (UDS)
- Experience working with LiDAR, radar, cameras, or other sensor technologies
- Military, aerospace, aviation, helicopter maintenance, or other complex systems experience is highly preferred
