Job description
The Sampson County Information Technology department is looking for a driven, detail-oriented, growth-minded IT professional to join its team as the next IT Systems Analyst. This role is responsible for analyzing, planning, implementing, and supporting application systems across various County departments. The Analyst serves as the primary IT liaison and works under the general direction of the Information Technology Director.
What you'll do:
- Ensure vital technology needs are effectively supported across departments
- Analyze, configure, install, and maintain application systems and infrastructure
- Perform system maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades following established standards
- Lead and participate in IT projects, including defining scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Assess departmental technology needs and identify opportunities to enhance solutions
- Assist in providing continuous technical support by participating in a rotating on-call schedule
Requirements
- Dedicated professional with considerable knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and enterprise applications
- Proven ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to provide high-quality customer service in accordance with IT standards
- Ability to develop and deliver training and technical documentation
Preferred applicants will have a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a closely related field, with five years of progressive experience in application support. A combination of education and experience will be considered. A valid driver's license in the State of North Carolina is required.
