Job description
In this role, you will:
- Test and validate new marine capabilities to ensure quality, robustness, and readiness for release.
- Document new features, validation results, best practices, and user workflows.
- Develop workflows for emerging marine applications.
- Create and enhance scripts and automation tools that improve user productivity.
- Demonstrate product capabilities and help accelerate adoption of marine simulation solutions.
- Partner with Research & Development (R&D), application engineering, and other technical teams.
- Engage with users to understand their needs and help translate insights into product improvements.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marine Science, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in product engineering, application engineering, or a related technical role, preferably within marine or simulation-focused environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex engineering workflows and recommend practical improvements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear technical documentation, guidelines, and reports.
- Experience developing scripts and workflow automation solutions, preferably using Python.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including R&D, application engineering, product management, and customers.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be beneficial:
- Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
- Marine simulation workflows.
- AI-assisted coding tools.
- Marine applications such as resistance, seakeeping, propulsion, manoeuvring, and external aerodynamics.
- Automation and optimisation of simulation processes.
