Our team is responsible for operating and continuously improving our CargoWise One (CW1) environment - a business-critical freight forwarding platform used by thousands of Hellmann employees worldwide, connecting seamlessly with partners and customers across air and ocean freight. We are looking for a talented and experienced Systems Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring stable, scalable operations and driving the optimisation of our application infrastructure. We are a motivated, globally distributed and multicultural team, collaborating across time zones and working closely with our technical colleagues and other IT departments around the world. About the Job
- Provide technical support for a business-critical corporate application
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server environments
- Manage and monitor our Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to implement business solutions
- Collabrate with WiseTech upstream provider
- Document technical procedures and operational processes
- Maintain and improve knowledge base articles
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent vocational training with at least 3 years of experience in system administration and/or application support
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure
- Basic knowledge of MS SQL Server, Microsoft ActiveDirectory Services and IIS
- Understanding of XML EDI Interface
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills; experience in a multicultural or multilingual environment is a plus
- Professional proficiency in English; ideally also German or additional languages
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, including participation in on-call duties for up to two weeks per quarter
