We are seeking a passionate Software Developer (m/f/d) to join our team in Karlsruhe (Germany) and develop high-performance software for advanced XRD data analysis. Responsibilities:
- Maintain, enhance, and expand existing numerical libraries for the analysis of XRD measurements
- Improve performance of numerical computations
- Develop and further enhance software products
- Design and implement new algorithms and methodologies
- Define software interfaces between different software products
- Maintain and extend automated test coverage
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in a scientific discipline (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, or a related field); knowledge of X-ray Diffraction (XRD) is a plus
- Strong expertise in numerical methods and software development
- Extensive experience modernizing and optimizing legacy code
- Proven experience in scientific computing
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including C++, Fortran, Python, C#, and Assembly language programming
- Experience in software architecture design and development
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); German proficiency is a plus.
