Job description

As our next Data Engineer, your contribution will be key to help us develop our EMS and build a reliable software infrastructure. To this regard, your main responsibilities will be to manage the data flow from our on-site running EMS to the Cloud and to collaborate with the Data Science team to deploy Machine Learning models on the Cloud software. You will be part of the Software Engineering RnD team up and report to the Head of Software Engineering, as well as you will collaborate closely with our Data Science department.

To be successful in this role, you are expected to:

  • Collaborate with the core EMS development team to enhance the reliability and efficiency of our code and infrastructure;
  • Collaborate with the Data Science department on the deployment of machine learning models to the Cloud, by supporting model requirements and assisting in preparing data for model training and evaluation;
  • Collaborate across teams on the design and maintenance of our Operations data mart (ETL, data modeling, metric design, reporting/dashboarding) to assure a stable infrastructure;
  • Take on research projects to define the data domain and improve data processing;
  • Ensure code and infrastructure reliability along the entire data pipeline;
  • Share knowledge to complement team-wide expertise
  • Develop high-quality software at a senior level

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field;
  • 5-7 years of experience as a Data Engineer in a fast-paced environment;
  • Advanced knowledge of Python and Linux shell scripting;
  • Direct working experience with ML models and Time-Series data;
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing;
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services (AWS, GCP);
  • Experience with a modern Data Pipeline tooling (dbt, Airflow, GreatExpectations, etc.)
