Job description

  • Drive Product Delivery: Serve as the technical lead responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of our core Embedded Accountancy product ecosystem.
  • Architect Scalable Financial Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain highly secure, resilient APIs and backend services capable of handling complex ledger synchronization, transactional accounting workflows, and deep SaaS integrations.
  • Champion Engineering Standards: Champion best practices across the development lifecycle, keeping a sharp eye on code quality, testing rigor, and robust data consistency.
  • Mentor & Lead: Act as a technical force multiplier by mentoring team members, leading deep-dive technical discussions, and promoting a culture of proactive knowledge-sharing and contribution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product management, engineering leadership, and external integration partners to turn strategic business cases into stable, scalable software solutions., Your impact will be directly measured by your ability to elevate both our platform and our engineering culture:
  • Product Success: Successful milestone delivery and production launch of the Embedded Accountancy product.
  • High Delivery Quality: Maintaining an average delivery score of $\ge3$.

Requirements

  • Deep Software Engineering Expertise: Extensive professional experience working at a Senior, Lead, or Staff Engineer level within modern, cloud-native architectures.
  • Financial/Accountancy Domain Knowledge: A strong professional background or explicit familiarity with accountancy systems, ledger frameworks, or financial software is highly preferred (experience working directly with Sage APIs or adjacent ERP systems is a massive plus).
  • System Design Mastery: Proven capability in designing, implementing, and scaling complex third-party platform integrations, distributed data pipelines, and highly microservice-oriented systems.
  • Technical Influence: An established track record of guiding architectural choices, leading internal technical strategies, and reviewing complex application paradigms.
  • Exceptional Communication: Natural ability to translate intricate technical designs into clear roadmaps for stakeholders, product managers, and engineering peers alike.
