Job description

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Provide technical support and manage the ticketing system for staff and the wider network.
  • Build, configure, and maintain IT equipment and hardware.
  • Document daily tasks, procedures, and ongoing projects.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure security through backups, updates, and patches.
  • Coordinate with vendors and manage IT-related procurement.
  • Take ownership of day-to-day IT operations to keep the team productive and systems reliable.
  • Help shape how we operate by improving our systems, processes, and performance.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in IT administration or a similar role is desirable, ideally around 3 years.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
  • Good communication skills across technical and nontechnical teams.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to adapt and grow in a fast-moving environment.
  • Trustworthy, dependable, proactive, calm under pressure, curious, organised, and reliable.

  • Ability to reliably commute to Uddingston or plan to relocate before starting work is preferred.
