Job description
The HR Data & Systems Lead is accountable for delivering the Group's HR and Payroll systems, people data and workforce analytics. The role provides functional leadership for HR technology and data governance, ensuring systems, processes and insights enable effective decision-making and facilitate business operations.
Acting as the Group's subject matter expert for HR systems and people data, the role influences business decisions in these areas, leads relevant workstreams of significant projects and M&A activity and manages team performance and output., HRIS Leadership
- Oversee the effective operation and continuous improvement of the Group's HR and Payroll system to support business and employee needs
- Represent HR Data & Systems in cross-functional transformation programmes and strategic projects
- Lead on HR data and systems workstreams for annual processes such as the pay review and budgeting process
- Drive system upgrades and enhancements internally and with third party providers, ensuring successful delivery and adoption
- Proactively identify opportunities to increase automation and improve workflows
- Partner with colleagues on the management and enhancement of recruitment and training systems
M&A
- Lead the HR systems and people data workstream for mergers, acquisitions and business integration activity, acting as the subject matter expert for data migration, system integration and organisational structure design
- Develop and execute integration strategies to ensure the seamless transfer of employee data and successful onboarding of acquired businesses into Group HR systems
- Provide leadership and oversight throughout the integration lifecycle, proactively managing risks, ensuring data integrity and compliance, and supporting business leaders to achieve smooth and effective transitions
Data Management & Integrity
- Own the governance, delivery and continuous development of data integrity processes to ensure people data is accurate and compliant with legal and GDPR requirements
- Lead complex and large-scale data updates, uploads and migrations, proactively identifying and managing risks and ensuring deliverables are met
Reporting & Analytics
- Own the governance, delivery and continuous development of people reporting and analytics
- Lead the development of workforce analytics, providing insight and commentary on trends, risks and opportunities and actionable recommendations that support business planning and decision-making
Team Leadership
- Accountable for the performance, development and management of the HR Data & Systems team, ensuring delivery of agreed priorities, projects and operational objectives
- Set and monitor team quality standards for reporting, data and system processes
- Champion and role model a culture of collaboration, inclusion and continuous improvement
Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with third-party providers to ensure issues as resolved in a timely way, monitoring resolution against SLAs and escalating where necessary
- Build strong relationships with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and business teams, providing expert support as needed
- Understand and translate business needs into reporting and system solutions
Requirements
- Significant experience in managing HR and Payroll systems, including system implementations/upgrades and projects
- Strong experience managing HR data, data quality and governance frameworks
- Experience leading project and M&A systems and data workstreams, including large-scale data uploads, migrations and cleansing exercises
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience managing and developing a specialist systems/data team, including setting standards, monitoring quality and driving high performance
- Proven ability to plan and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, including maintaining broad oversight while identifying and resolving critical details
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and automation
- Proven ability to work with third-party system providers and manage vendor relationships
- Proven stakeholder management skills with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT and operational leaders
- Sound understanding of GDPR, data protection principles and HR data compliance requirements
- Ability to identify risks and manage delivery against deadlines and objectives
- Good written and oral communication skills
Desirable
- CIPD Level 3 or above
- Professional certification in HR systems, data analytics, project management or data governance
- Knowledge of property market and associated services
