Job description
The Automation Developer (CAD) position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software automation with a focus on CAD applications. This requires end-to-end project ownership, this includes; working with users to understand requirements, analysing user problems and designing solutions to meet them, following best practices to develop and test solutions and supporting developments once in production, * Creation and testing of automation scripts and models for business product configurator.
- Designing and developing general software automation for the business CAD software(s).
- End-to-end project ownership - working with users to understand requirements, analysing user problems and designing effective solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends and technology advancements. Researching and reporting on new technologies and systems.
- Working closely with our production teams to maintain and support automation in production, with a focus on process improvement to support development.
Requirements
- New Graduates with relevant Degrees /master's qualifications are welcome to apply.
- Previous experience in developing software or automation solutions desirable
- Previous experience using Parametric Manufacturing CAD software (E.g. Inventor, SolidWorks) would be beneficial but is not required
- Proficient in at least one programming language
- Knowledge of software development practices such as version control (Git) and automated testing and deployment (CI/CD)
- Experience with RPA would be beneficial but is not required
- Strong problem-solving skills and good attention to detail
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills, * New Graduates with relevant Degrees/Masters are welcome to apply
- Proficient in at least one programming language is essential
- Knowledge of software development practices such as version control (GIT) and automated testing and deployment (CI/CD) is essential
- Experience in RPA would be beneficial
- Will you now or in the near future require sponsorship for an employment visa.
