SUMMARY: The Desktop Support Engineer provides support to all computer system users for desktop and phone related issues. The position requires changes to processes to ensure desktop support is kept efficient. A successful candidate will be friendly, technologically well-rounded, and have a true heart for customer service. This position requires technical skills in many areas of computing but most importantly a great attitude with a desire to learn and grow as a professional in a team environment., * Personally exhibits, recruits and coaches associates consistent with Core Behaviors
- Responsible for promoting culture of safety
- Provide technical assistance to end users while maintaining great customer service
- Manage helpdesk response time, ticket load, and proper triage practices
- Maintain the helpdesk software (catagories, screens, users, manage support escalations, etc)
- Managing the automated deployment of Operating Systems, Applications computer updates
- Create and maintain user accounts, including assigning privileges
- Telecommunications management including VoIP, user accounts, and handsets
- Occasional travel to company sites to perform necessary onsite maintenance and repair
- Manage inventory of hardware and software resources across the enterprise
- Assistance with small scale infrastructure projects
- Design and develop support protocals and procedures
- Works with accounting on IS related expenses
- Assist in Network Monitoring
- Perform other system duties as assigned

Requirements
- Cisco Call Manager Experience is a plus
- Microsoft SCCM experience is a plus
- Can operate Windows 7 and 10
- Can set up a new computer with desktop software
- Knowledge of anti-virus and anti-malware software
- Proficient knowledge or ability to learn computer software specific to the operation (Excel, Sharepoint, Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- No direct supervisory responsibility.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma required/Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 1+ years of IS support required
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Microsoft/PC certifications preferred
- Software certifications preferred
- None required
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Employee is regularly required to speak and understand English, stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. Employee is required to use computer and other equipment.
- Employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to clearly focus vision.
