Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other business intelligence platforms.
  • Lead data modeling efforts by designing efficient database schemas and ensuring optimal database performance within SQL Server, Oracle, or other SQL databases.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse sources using Talend, Python, Bash scripts, or VBA to ensure data integrity and availability for analysis.
  • Conduct requirements analysis with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications for data solutions.
  • Collaborate within Agile teams to develop scalable software solutions throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including planning, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Perform in-depth data analysis utilizing R, Excel data analysis tools, and other analytics software to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
  • Develop data visualizations that communicate complex information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Engage in database design activities focusing on data model design and linked data integration to support advanced analytics initiatives.
  • Manage query performance and optimize SQL queries to improve reporting efficiency while maintaining high standards of data quality.
  • Support project management efforts by coordinating tasks across teams and ensuring timely delivery of analytics solutions aligned with organizational goals.

  • Extensive proficiency in SQL programming for querying large datasets in SQL Server, Oracle, or similar environments.
  • Strong technical skills in Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or comparable visualization tools; experience with dashboard development is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL processes using Talend, Python scripting, Bash (Unix shell), or VBA for data extraction and transformation tasks.
  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies such as Agile for managing analytics projects efficiently from conception through deployment.
  • Knowledge of database design principles along with experience in data model design for scalable analytics solutions.
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets using R or Excel-based tools to generate meaningful insights that influence business decisions.
  • Experience working with linked data sources and integrating disparate datasets for comprehensive analysis purposes.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle analysis as it pertains to analytics tool development and deployment.
  • Excellent communication skills to present findings clearly through compelling visualizations and reports; ability to translate technical concepts into understandable language for stakeholders.
