Job description

  • Design and evolve application architectures for market risk platforms using modern engineering practices.
  • Build and modernize scalable applications with Python, Java, React, and SQL.
  • Develop and optimize database schemas, data models, and SQL for performance and maintainability.
  • Lead solution design through delivery while guiding technical decisions and resolving design challenges.
  • Collaborate with global business and technology stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions in an agile environment.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Application Architect to join the Market Risk Technology team within a Global Markets environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, Java, React, and SQL and a proven ability to design and deliver scalable, maintainable enterprise applications that support critical market risk capabilities. This role requires partnership with global teams across Ireland, the UK, India, and the U.S. in an agile setting., * Strong hands-on development with Python, Java, React, and SQL.

  • Proven design of scalable, maintainable application architectures and use of modern engineering patterns.
  • Advanced database design, data modeling, and SQL performance tuning.
  • Delivery of enterprise applications in high-pressure financial services environments.
  • Effective communication and collaboration across business, technology, and global delivery teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to lead technical decisions.
  • Self-motivated leader who owns solution design through delivery.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Quartz.
  • Investment banking domain exposure with risk and product knowledge.
  • Prior work in Agile/Scrum teams.

  • Start: ASAP. Target start 2-4 weeks after offer to meet business needs.
  • Worksite: NJ2-101-14-01, 101 Hudson Street, Jersey City, NJ. Team will move to 525 Washington by year end.
  • Hybrid schedule: minimum three days per week onsite.
