Job description
Serco North America is seeking an Entry-Level ServiceNow Developer to support the development, configuration, and enhancement of ServiceNow applications across mission-critical systems. This role is well-suited for a recent college graduate with a strong technical foundation and a desire to grow within enterprise platforms and IT Service Management (ITSM).
This position offers structured on-the-job training and mentorship, providing the opportunity to build hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform while supporting the delivery of reliable, high-quality IT services.
In this role, you will:

Assist in the development and configuration of applications on the ServiceNow platform usingApp Engine Studio

Support implementation and customization of ITSM modules, including Incident, Change, and Request Management

Develop and maintain ServiceNow components such as:
-
Forms and fields
-
Business rules
-
Client scripts
-
UI policies
-
Workflows and Flow Designer solutions
-
Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, testing, and documentation
-
Collaborate with senior developers, system administrators, and functional stakeholders
-
Troubleshoot issues and support platform enhancements and continuous improvements

Follow ServiceNow development best practices, security standards, and Serco development methodologies

Maintain documentation for developed solutions and configurations
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline

Strong understanding of programming fundamentals and software development concepts
-
Proficiency or coursework experience withJavaScript
-
Basic knowledge ofHTML, CSS, and web-based application concepts
-
Familiarity with relational databases and data modeling concepts
-
Foundational understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) or IT operations principles
-
Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
-
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
-
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
-
Academic, internship, or project experience with enterprise systems or SaaS platforms
-
Exposure to low-code or no-code development platforms
-
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies

Experience consuming or building REST APIs
Certification Requirements
The selected candidate must obtain the following ServiceNow certifications within six (6) months of hire:

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
-
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
