Job description

NCCI is the trusted source of workers compensation data, insights, and information services used by insurers, regulators, employers, and policymakers across the country. We help organizations make smarter decisions through the power of data-and we're looking for a Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you'll identify and resolve routine data issues, uncover root causes, work directly with customers and data providers, and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of data that supports critical business decisions. You'll gain exposure to data environments, business systems, testing activities, and process improvement initiatives while building valuable analytical and problem-solving skills. The preferred candidate would be local within a commutable distance to our Boca Raton, FL headquarters. NOTE: NCCI will not sponsor applicants for work visas.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Identify and resolve customer data issues and assist data providers
  • Provide testing and system support, and research issues
  • Prepare documentation to resolve system requirements, procedures, or customer communications to resolve issues impacting core work functions and supported customer groups
  • Participate in process reviews and improvements of team functions
  • Collaborate with team members on resolutions to data provider challenges

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or additional related work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in:
  • Data analysis
  • Business operations
  • Data management
  • Financial services, healthcare, insurance, or similar analytical environments
  • In lieu of the work experience requirement, a degree with coursework in any of the following may be accepted:
  • Database and/or system management or design
  • Data extraction
  • Data mining
  • Data warehousing
  • Ability to:
  • Investigate and resolve data or system-related issues
  • Analyze trends and identify root causes
  • Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Work directly with customers and business partners
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

  • Knowledge of insurance, claims, or financial data
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
