Configuration Engineer

• Be responsible for analyzing, developing, and modifying programs, including enhancements, conversions, User Exits, ALV reports, LSMW, RFCs, ALE/EDI, IDOCs, BAPIs, and BADIs.
• Be responsible for developing and modifying SAP Script and Smart Forms.
• Be responsible for identifying and resolving system issues.
• Be responsible for working with outsourced middleware teams to map EDI messages (850, 855, 846, 856, 810) to SAP IDOC structures.
• Be responsible for initiating and maintaining communication with vendors and trading partners for EDI data exchanges.
• Be responsible for providing quick responses and resolutions to EDI errors, missing/invalid data, and mapping enhancements.
• Be responsible for managing inbound and outbound IDOC programs, using monitoring tools to troubleshoot and correct errors.
• Be responsible for acting as the first responder for SAP & EDI tickets in collaboration with the SAP Lead.
• Be responsible for engaging with business teams to support IT and strategic plans.

• Minimum 5+ years as SAP ABAP developer in ECC 6.0 or higher.
• Knowledge of ABAP development technologies in SD & MM modules.
• Prior experience mapping EDI messages to SAP IDOC structures.
• In-depth knowledge of interfacing EDI transactions with SAP.
• Good understanding of SAP sales order to cash cycle.
• Proven experience in at least one full SAP ECC implementation.
• Interpersonal, presentation, and communication abilities.
• 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience writing SQL queries.
• Familiarity with 3rd party EDI mapping services and processing partners.
