Job description
As a Design Engineer, you will be involved throughout the full product development lifecycle, supporting both new product introduction (NPI) projects and enhancements to existing product ranges.
Requirements

A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience. \n

At least three years' experience in a design engineering position. \n

Strong CAD experience, ideally with Creo (or similar 3D CAD software). \n

Experience working with sheet metal and fabricated product design. \n

Knowledge of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) within a production environment. \n

Experience with tolerance analysis and D-FMEA methodologies. \n

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. \n

Creating 3D models, concepts and detailed 2D production drawings for sheet metal components, weldments and assemblies. \n

Leading and contributing to design reviews with internal stakeholders and customers. \n

Ensuring designs meet manufacturing, quality, performance and cost requirements. \n

Driving continuous improvement initiatives and engineering problem-solving activities. \n

Working closely with engineering, production, procurement and commercial teams to deliver successful projects. \n
