This is an exciting opportunity to get into the rapidly growing LegalTech industry! CourtAlert is seeking a highly motivated Support Engineer to join our growing technology team. This is a hands-on, client-facing technical role supporting large law firms across the country.
You will investigate application and data issues and serve as a trusted technical partner to client stakeholders. This role bridges customer support and the development team and is ideal for someone who enjoys technical troubleshooting while working directly with professionals.
This is not a scripted call-center support position. It requires independent investigation and ownership of issues through resolution.
What You'll Do
Client-Facing Support
- Build trusted relationships with legal professionals and IT stakeholders
- Communicate clearly and confidently with both business users and technical teams
- Manage expectations while delivering thoughtful, client-centered solutions
- Own issues end-to-end, from investigation through resolution
Application Troubleshooting
- Reproduce and investigate issues in web applications and document findings clearly
- Review application logs and system behavior to identify root causes
- Escalate confirmed bugs to the development team with clear, complete detail
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with the development team to resolve root causes
- Translate client feedback into actionable insights
- Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge sharing
- Identify recurring patterns to improve product stability and performance
Product Expertise
- Develop deep expertise in CourtAlert's applications
- Guide clients on best practices and workflow optimization
- Help ensure clients maximize the value of CourtAlert's platform
Requirements
- 4+ years in application support, technical support, or a client-facing technical role
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience troubleshooting web-based applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with data - able to read and run basic SQL queries
- Highly self-sufficient and persistent when diagnosing unfamiliar problems
- Ability to take ownership and drive issues through resolution, * Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day work - we use Claude heavily, and familiarity with Claude Desktop or Claude Code (Skills, Connectors, MCPs) is a strong plus
- Familiarity with N-tier web applications and APIs
- Microsoft Azure Cloud platform experience
- Experience reviewing application logs and integration workflows
- Experience with Jira or similar ticketing systems
- Experience supporting legal software or working with litigation teams
