Job description

As a Penske Systems Administrator - Atlassian, you will be working with the IT organization, agile practice, and governance teams to support the SDLC and other processes with the Atlassian tools. You will research, create, configure, test, administrate and maintain JIRA, Confluence, various integrations, and plugins both in the Cloud and On Premise. Your primary objective will be the technical oversight and administration for the suite of Atlassian products used across IT. You'll work directly with various teams across the org to support, maintain, and build solutions to support the strategy and growth of the IT Org.\n \n \nPenske Responsibilities:\n \u2022 Create, manage, and support all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suite including Jira Software and Confluence.\n \u2022 Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions schemes to projects.\n \u2022 Confluence environment, space administration - Space creation and settings permissions for security\n \u2022 Integrate various services internal and external to the enterprise.\n \u2022 Create and provide support for JIRA projects, queries, and reports.\n \u2022 Create and maintain custom workflows, screens, fields, and templates, and provide ongoing support and configuration maintenance.\n \u2022 Work with the server and database team to assure solid administration of the servers and Oracle environments supporting the Atlassian tools.\n \u2022 Research, evaluate, install, configure, test, and manage add-ons, plug-ins, and extensions.\n \u2022 Manage and update software and licenses.\n \u2022 Research and implement Atlassian best practices.\n \u2022 Contribute in discussions regarding security, privacy, and governance within our Atlassian suite.\n \u2022 Act as the SME for JIRA-related projects and assess/implement new capabilities as needed throughout the organization.\n \u2022 Troubleshoot and fix errors common to Jira applications.\n \u2022 Provide day-to-day operational support activities as well as strategic planning initiatives involving JIRA.\n \u2022 Ability to write custom JQL (Jira Query Language)\n \u2022 Other projects/tasks as assigned.\n \n

Requirements

u2022 Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field. If no degree, then 1 year of specific (function) administration experience required.\n \u2022 Minimum 1 year of system engineering and IT support required.\n \u2022 Hands-on experience with Atlassian product suite.\n \u2022 Strong troubleshooting skills\n \u2022 Experience as a Jira Administrator with experience managing complex projects, workflows, custom configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes, notification schemes and automations.\n \u2022 Knowledge of system security concerns and vulnerabilities.\n \u2022 Strong understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.\n \u2022 Experience with JQL, REST, Groovy.\n \u2022 Experience implementing Atlassian Plugins.\n \u2022 Manage all JIRA enhancements and releases following a formal change management process.\n \u2022 Ability to comfortably discuss technical concepts with engineers on your team, or with vendors.\n \u2022 Collaborating with other support staff, application owners, and users to build solutions and prioritize efforts.\n \u2022 Atlassian Certified Administrator preferred.\n \u2022 Familiarity with operating systems.\n \u2022 Basic level of understanding of networks, security and databases.\n \u2022 Basic understanding of Linux.\n \u2022 Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.\n \u2022 Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.\n
