Job description

This role focuses on secure data erasure and accurate inventory auditing of enterprise IT hardware. The Auditor will work with a team of technicians to process incoming devices including storage systems, servers, laptops, desktop computers, and mobile devices. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, comfortable with ERP data entry, and capable of following established procedures in a fast-paced, process-driven environment., * Perform secure data erasure on enterprise storage systems, servers, networking equipment (e.g., firewalls, routers, access points), and end-user devices (Laptops, Computers, Mobile Devices) in accordance with industry's best practices.

  • Inventory incoming IT equipment in the company ERP system, capturing key device information including make, model, serial number, specifications, and condition.
  • Conduct functional testing on various peripherals including monitors, audio/visual components, printers, and other devices.
  • Support internal asset management systems, including accurate data entry and equipment tracking.
  • Identify and/or remove components as required.
  • Adhere to established technical and operational procedures to ensure quality and efficiency

Requirements

  • 2-year associates or technical degree is required
  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience as a computer technician or related position
  • CompTIA A+, Security +, Network + certification preferred
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, and PXE environments.

Skills & Abilities

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and research skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
