Are you a hands-on technician who enjoys solving problems, working with advanced technology, and supporting customers in the field? SITECH Pacific is looking for a Field Technology Technician to join our team and support cutting-edge construction technology solutions used in the heavy equipment and earthmoving industry.
As a Field Technology Technician, you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain Trimble Machine Control Technology and construction technology systems that help customers improve accuracy, productivity, and performance on their job sites. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in electronics, electrical systems, heavy equipment, GPS technology, or field service who enjoys working independently and making an impact.
What You'll Do:
- Install, configure, calibrate, and support Trimble Machine Control Technology and related construction technology systems.
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on digital and analog electronic components, electrical systems, wiring, and technology equipment.
- Provide onsite technical support and solutions for customers at construction job sites.
- Lead technology installations, including equipment setup, system testing, calibration, and customer training.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and technology-related issues using tools such as multimeters and diagnostic equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and apply basic circuit knowledge to identify and resolve issues.
- Partner with customers, sales teams, engineers, and service teams to ensure successful technology implementation.
- Build strong customer relationships by delivering professional service, reliable solutions, and technical expertise.
- Communicate project updates, repairs, and support needs with customers and internal teams.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety while working in the field and at customer locations.
- Travel to customer job sites and work occasional weekends as business needs require.
Requirements
- Experience in field service, heavy equipment repair, electrical systems, electronics, construction technology, or a related technical field.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and use diagnostic tools such as a multimeter.
- Understanding of wiring, circuits, and basic electrical principles.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining quality standards and meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Willingness to travel to customer job sites.
Benefits & conditions
Starting Wage: $36.00 - $44.00 per hour (Based on experience and education)
