Job description
The Technical Lead provides technical leadership for an Agile Sprint Team supporting a large-scale federal cloud modernization program. This role is responsible for guiding the team's technical direction, ensuring high-quality software delivery, mentoring developers, and translating enterprise architecture standards into effective implementation solutions. Working closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, architects, and engineering teams, the Technical Lead drives the delivery of secure, cloud-native solutions while promoting AI-assisted software development and engineering best practices., * Provide day-to-day technical leadership and solution design guidance for the Agile Sprint Team.
- Establish and maintain high standards for code quality, code reviews, software design, and engineering best practices.
- Translate enterprise architecture standards into practical implementation decisions for the development team.
- Mentor and coach software developers while supporting their technical growth and professional development.
- Partner with the Scrum Master and Product Owner to refine requirements, plan sprint scope, and support successful delivery.
- Promote the effective adoption of AI-assisted software development tools across the engineering team.
- Resolve technical challenges and remove engineering impediments impacting sprint delivery.
- Coordinate technical dependencies and integration activities across multiple Agile teams.
- Ensure delivered solutions align with cloud-native architecture standards, security requirements, and established development practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience serving in a technical leadership or lead developer role.
- Strong hands-on experience developing cloud-native applications.
- Experience working with AWS services and CI/CD delivery pipelines.
- Experience mentoring software development teams.
