Job description
Administers and supports daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers. Duties typically involve the installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation. This administrator will maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services. This Administrator trains staff on software applicable to their position, assists customers with information technology, monitors system configuration (hardware and software), and provides instruction on computers and applications.
Other responsibilities include:
- Monitor existing systems to ensure structural integrity
- Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software
- Install and configure operating systems and other software and routinely test installed software for glitch detection and other issues
- Provide technical direction to IT support staff
- Ensure constant availability of technical resources
- Design and implement security systems and redundant backups to maintain data safety
- Write custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention ECraft SA1
Requirements
Due to Customer requirements, U.S Citizenship is required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoW Security Clearance for duration of employment. Personnel may be required to obtain and maintain a TS clearance.
Bachelor's level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
Benefits & conditions
Salary: the expected pay range for this position is $79,040 to $101,920 but is subject to change. Security Clearance: Secret
