Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Portfolio Analyst to join our dynamic technology management team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the organization's portfolio of IT projects and programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and enterprise standards. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies, enterprise software solutions, and cloud computing technologies. This position offers an opportunity to lead cross-functional initiatives, facilitate effective stakeholder communication, and contribute to the successful delivery of complex IT solutions that support organizational growth and innovation., * Manage and prioritize the organization's IT project portfolio, ensuring projects align with strategic goals and enterprise architecture standards.

  • Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and develop project plans using tools such as Microsoft Project, TFS (Team Foundation Server), VersionOne, Jira, and SharePoint.
  • Oversee project scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and issue resolution in accordance with project management methodologies including PMBOK, SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), Waterfall, and Agile frameworks such as SAFe and Kanban.
  • Facilitate enterprise software implementation projects by coordinating activities across teams involved in software development, testing (including user acceptance testing), release management, and deployment.
  • Monitor project progress through dashboards and reports; ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Conduct analysis of IT infrastructure components such as databases (SQL, Oracle), disaster recovery plans, and cloud computing environments to support project requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration efforts to ensure seamless integration of enterprise solutions while maintaining compliance with IT governance policies.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation including test cases, process flows in Visio, project schedules in Microsoft Excel or Word, and stakeholder communication materials.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating current project management practices and recommending enhancements aligned with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience managing a diverse portfolio of IT projects within enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, TFS, VersionOne, Jira, SharePoint; strong organizational skills for effective scheduling and resource planning.
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies including PMBOK, SDLC frameworks (Waterfall & Agile), SAFe practices, Kanban boards.
  • Technical expertise in cloud computing platforms like AWS; familiarity with IT infrastructure components including databases (SQL & Oracle), disaster recovery strategies.
  • Proven leadership in technical project & program management supervisory roles; excellent team leadership capabilities.
  • Strong analysis skills for requirements gathering; ability to develop detailed test cases and facilitate user acceptance testing.
  • Effective stakeholder communication skills; adept at negotiating priorities among diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of software development processes such as test-driven development (TDD) and software implementation best practices.
  • Familiarity with IT governance standards; experience in risk management and disaster recovery planning.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), Visio for process modeling; adept at using project management software for tracking progress.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on deliverables; strong time management skills.
  • Experience working within Agile planning cycles alongside traditional Waterfall approaches; demonstrated capability in project leadership within complex technical environments.
