The Web Project Manager & Front-End Engineer will be responsible for both project management and front-end development across website production and operation projects.
This position will lead projects from initial client meetings and requirements gathering through planning, proposal development, design, implementation, launch, maintenance, and continuous improvement. In addition to managing the overall project, the successful candidate will also contribute directly to front-end development.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Japanese-English bilingual professional who wants to strengthen both project management and engineering skills while taking ownership of the full website development lifecycle.
(Key Responsibilities)
・Attend client meetings with the sales team and gather business and technical requirements ・Develop website strategies, concepts, and project proposals ・Define project requirements, specifications, schedules, workloads, and deliverables ・Manage project timelines and coordinate with internal production teams and external partners ・Develop and maintain websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript ・Build websites using SaaS platforms such as Webflow and Shopify ・Develop websites, templates, and custom features using WordPress and other CMS platforms ・Design user interfaces and implement animations with UI/UX considerations ・Ensure responsive design, accessibility, usability, and cross-browser compatibility ・Maintain existing websites and recommend improvements ・Review deliverables and manage overall project quality ・Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate necessary updates ・Support website launch and post-launch optimization ・Perform other web development and project management duties as assigned
Requirements
・Business-level communication skills in both Japanese and English required ・Professional experience in website production or front-end development required ・Working knowledge and practical experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript required ・Experience in website direction or project management preferred ・Strong client-facing and communication skills ・Strong documentation skills, including requirement summaries, specifications, proposals, and project plans ・Authorized to work legally in the United States or currently hold a valid work visa ・Valid California driver's license required
