Software System Architect - Live Production

• You lead the architecture, technical direction, and overall system design of our Video Live Production and Replay Platform - ensuring performance, reliability, and operational excellence in demanding broadcast environments.
• You translate product requirements into robust technical concepts, system diagrams, domain models, and clear development guidelines that empower engineering teams to build scalable, future-ready solutions.
• You collaborate closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, Developers, and stakeholders to align long-term architectural decisions with product strategy, real-time requirements, and Riedel's wider ecosystem.
• You conduct technical reviews - including architecture reviews, component design evaluations, and code reviews - to ensure consistency, maintainability, and adherence to architectural principles across teams.
• You evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., GPU acceleration, distributed storage, AI-assisted workflows) and integrate them into a forward-looking architectural roadmap that supports innovation and sustainable product growth.
• You define and maintain all architectural and domain-driven design documentation - ensuring system clarity, up-to-date specifications, and seamless knowledge transfer across engineering and operations.

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable technical field - combined with 8+ years of Software Engineering experience and at least 2 years in Architecture for high-performance, real-time, or media systems.
• Strong background in professional broadcast systems, live production, or sports technology, with hands-on experience in CPU/GPU-based video and audio processing pipelines.
• Deep knowledge of system-level development, distributed architectures, scalable and fault-tolerant systems, and hybrid/cloud deployments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Skilled in defining operational domain models, domain rules, and workflow pipelines, and experienced in applying Domain-Driven Design principles in complex environments.
• A strategic thinker with strong communication skills able to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences and drive architectural alignment across teams.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, documentation-driven, and willing to travel occasionally (e.g., R&D hubs, tradeshows, customer visits)
• Excellent English skills (written and spoken); German skills are an asset
