You'll work alongside a talented team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities - Design and Implement Scalable Data Pipelines: Design, implement, and maintain efficient data pipelines using cloud technologies to reliably and efficiently produce business-critical data. - Data Acquisition and Transformation: Collect, process, and clean data from diverse sources using SQL, Python, and other scripting languages. - Data Modeling and Warehousing: Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements, and design and optimize data models for efficient query performance and analytics. - Data Quality and Governance: Ensure data quality and consistency through rigorous validation and cleaning processes. Implement data governance and security best practices to protect sensitive information. - Data Tooling and Automation: Create data tools and automate data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes to streamline workflows and improve efficiency. - Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to provide access to clean, reliable, and well-structured data. Mentor and share technical expertise with team members. - Stay Ahead of the Curve: Stay up-to-date with the latest data technologies and industry trends to drive innovation. Education & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 2-3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role. Key Skills & Attributes - Strong Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python. Experience with data engineering tools and frameworks (e.g., Airflow, DBT). - Cloud Expertise: Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) and data warehousing concepts (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery). - Data Pipeline Development: Experience designing and building scalable and robust data pipelines to enable data-driven business decisions. - Data Modeling and Analysis: Experience with data modeling and data warehousing techniques. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Data Quality and Governance: Experience in data quality assurance, data validation, and data security best practices. - Collaboration and Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Automation and Tooling: Experience with automation tools (e.g., Docker, Airflow) and creating data tools to improve efficiency. - API Integration: Experience importing and transforming data from third-party APIs.
