Job description
A large and respected organisation is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to lead the evolution of its data engineering capability and help deliver a modern, data-driven future. This is a senior technical leadership position offering the opportunity to shape enterprise-wide data strategy, architecture, platforms, and standards.
Working within a highly collaborative technology team, you will drive the design, implementation and optimisation of scalable data platforms and pipelines that enable informed decision-making across the organisation.
The Role:
- Lead the strategic direction of the organisation's data engineering function.
- Design and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms, pipelines, and integration solutions.
- Champion best practices across data architecture, governance, security and quality.
- Drive the adoption and optimisation of cloud-based data technologies.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data capabilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services and cloud-based data platforms.
- Advanced SQL and data modelling skills.
- Experience with metadata management and data integration approaches.
- Strong problem-solving ability with experience resolving complex technical challenges.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
