Job description
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to manage our deployment stability, environment monitoring, and infrastructure provisioning pipelines. In this role, you will serve as a foundational member of our engineering department, collaborating directly with software developers to resolve build failures, automate operational workflows, and maintain our cloud infrastructure. We require an engineer who excels at log analysis, resource optimization, and ensuring secure, efficient code promotion from local environments through to production.
What You'll Do
- Use Terraform to provision, update, and decommission staging, testing, and production environments.
- Diagnose build failures, optimize build caching to reduce deployment latency, and maintain pipeline configurations within GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
- Execute routine cluster maintenance, update deployment manifests, configure ingress controllers, and resolve pod eviction or scheduling anomalies.
- Manage IAM policies, service accounts, API keys, and secrets management tools to enforce the principle of least privilege.
- Configure dashboards and telemetry thresholds in Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog to ensure immediate notification of system degradation.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for application engineers resolving deployment dependencies, database connectivity issues, or environment discrepancies.
Requirements
- At least 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience maintaining production workloads within a major cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Proven capability in writing declarative Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing Terraform.
- Daily experience containerizing applications with Docker and managing workloads within production Kubernetes environments.
- Proficiency in developing automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Go to eliminate manual system administration tasks.
- Thorough understanding of core networking topologies, including VPC peering, subnets, route tables, security groups, and DNS resolution.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical engineering experience.
