Job description
- Lead large-scale mainframe modernization and cloud migration programs to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Advise executive stakeholders on cloud transformation strategies and roadmaps.
- Assess and modernize legacy systems built on COBOL, PL/ICICS, IMSDB2, VSAM, JCL, and batch workloads.
- Design migration strategies including re-host, re-platform, and re-factor approaches.
- Develop end-to-end GCP architecture covering applications, data, networking, security, governance, and disaster recovery.
Requirements
Our client, a leading organization in the technology and enterprise solutions sector, is seeking a Migration Architect - Mainframe to GCP to join their team. As a Migration Architect - Mainframe to GCP, you will be part of the Cloud Transformation Department supporting enterprise-scale modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, innovative thinking, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization., * 12+ years of experience in enterprise application and platform architecture.
- 6+ years of experience in mainframe modernization or legacy transformation.
- Proven expertise leading enterprise-scale mainframe-to-cloud migration programs.
- Deep knowledge of GCP architecture and services, including Pub/Sub, APIs, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and GKE.
- Strong understanding of cloud migration strategies, security, IAM, compliance, and governance.
