Job description

We are seeking an IT Support Technician / Computer Support Associate to provide hands-on technical support for both office and manufacturing shop floor environments. This role is responsible for supporting desktops, scanners, printers, and other IT hardware while ensuring systems remain operational for production and business users. The position requires excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills, with approximately 50% or more of the work performed on the manufacturing floor. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktop computers, scanners, printers, and related hardware.
  • Perform software installations, upgrades, patches, and system updates.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for office and manufacturing users.
  • Support both office-based employees and shop floor production systems.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and documentation.
  • Follow established IT processes, procedures, and security policies.
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers and external vendors.
  • Assist with equipment deployment, replacement, and hardware upgrades.
  • Respond promptly to escalated production support issues.
  • Travel locally on occasion (less than 10%) to support nearby facilities when required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
  • Experience supporting desktops, scanners, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and standard desktop software.
  • Understanding of computer security concepts and security policies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to follow documentation and inventory management processes.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment., * One (1) year or more of IT support experience preferred.
  • Recent Information Technology graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments is a plus., * High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology (or related field) with relevant experience accepted.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline preferred.
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 30 50 lbs.
  • Spend 50% or more of the workday on the manufacturing shop floor.
  • Must wear metatarsal safety shoes on the first day.
  • Additional PPE will be provided by the factory Health & Safety department.
